1. Who is Eligible for the Scholarship?

Anyone who meets all these criteria: Must have worked at least 3 Camp Seasons including the most recent one, Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits during Fall and Spring Semester, Must carry a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and Must be currently enrolled in the Boy Scouts of America

2. How do I apply for the scholarship?

Applications are sent out in late August to early September to camp staff that are attending college and have worked at camp for at least 3 years including the most recent summer. Applications can also be accessed on The Association website at Alumni Association of the Northern Lights Camps or by sending an email to Jenny Fisher at jl.olson@hotmail.com

4. When do I have to have my application submitted by for the 2011-2012 school year?

5. When is the money disbursed if I qualify for the scholarship?

Scholarship award disbursement will occur by March and a check will be mailed to the address you list on your application

6. How is the amount of the scholarship determined?

The scholarship endowment fund accrues an annual interest return of 5% and the interest accrued is divided equally to all eligible applicants

7. How much is currently in the endowment fund?

$2907.86 as of August 5, 2008

8. How many have received the scholarship in the past?

8 people during the 2004-2005 school year
4 people during the 2007-2008 school year

9. How do I make a donation to the Scholarship Endowment Fund?

Simply complete the donation form and send it in to help the endowment grow.

10. Where do I mail my donation?
